E.ON is looking for a Meter Expert
E.ON is an international privately-owned energy company. 70,000 employees in 15 countries work daily for the development of technical innovations and user-friendly customer solutions for the new energy world. We are the first major energy company to truly focus on future energy solutions through our business areas for smart grids and customer solutions.
About us
Within our Metering Technology group, we are responsible for all billing measurement within our electricity network operations, including the collection of meter data values, events, and alarms from our approximately one million customers' meters. We are a national team of eleven people, consisting of experts and project managers who work closely together to share knowledge and experiences, despite being geographically dispersed. We are now looking for a Meter Expert who wants to be part of our team and contribute to further developing our operations!
Your role
In the role of Meter Expert, you will contribute expertise in low and high voltage meters to continuously ensure quality, develop, and maintain the products. As a technical expert, you will provide support to contractors in the field on issues and assist them in safety work. You will participate in technical forums and framework agreement work and drive competency development and improvement projects within the department. Your work will also include troubleshooting metering technical issues, developing instructions, and representing the business in external contexts. Since our suppliers and network areas are spread across Sweden, the position involves travel, and you are expected to drive approximately 2000-3000 miles per year. You will largely plan your own travels, which mainly consist of day trips, with a few overnight stays each month. A need-based vehicle is included in the role.
Your experiences
We are looking for someone with a technical background and experience in a similar role, preferably with a focus on technology development related to measurement in the energy sector. You have a solid understanding of low and high voltage, which allows you to work independently and make well-founded decisions. As a person, you take responsibility for your work and actively contribute to maintaining high quality in our deliveries. You communicate clearly and transparently to help strengthen our good reputation through reliability and professionalism. We value a collaborative attitude and a drive to contribute to the group's success. We hope that you, like us, are convinced that together we can achieve more and that you are engaged in your work. You enjoy working independently and in a structured manner, but also appreciate having your colleagues close at hand for discussions and joint solutions.
What is it like with us?
We have a culture characterized by open communication where everyone shares their opinions and experiences. As we continuously improve and change our working methods, there are great opportunities for you to influence your work. Our fundamental view is that we make each other better together. Your manager, Goran Lundin, is an engaged and present leader who cares for his employees and creates a working environment characterized by trust and collaboration. He encourages independence while ensuring that support is available when needed. At E.ON, we actively work with inclusion - it is crucial to drive the energy transition forward. We want you to feel welcome! We strive to create a safe working environment with meaningful tasks and good opportunities for development. We continuously challenge ourselves to create a welcoming workplace where we hope you will thrive. We work for a more sustainable energy society, but it is equally important that our employees have the conditions to care for their personal sustainability. Therefore, we offer good benefits to ensure you feel well and have a good balance between work and leisure. Some of these include working hours reduction that is higher than the industry standard, health insurance, free healthcare, and more! We warmly welcome you to apply and join us on the path to a sustainable society! The application deadline is January 21. As we work with socially critical operations, the employment is security classified, which means that a security check will be conducted before employment.
